Cram said the commissioners and precinct committee chairs involved in the process contributed to a well run election.
The mayor expects to leave his position after taking an oath of office in the next two weeks. He said the first priority is ensuring Sheridan city government undergoes a smooth transition to his absence.
According to Sheridan ordinance, City Council President John Heath will act as mayor until the Council selects a replacement for the office.

The soon to be senator isn't waiting to start his new role. He said his first priority as a legislator is learning the positions of his constituency in order to represent them well in Cheyenne.
